blooms were springing and the streams flowed ringing, and the
birds were sweetly singing, as saith the poet concerning a
certain city when describing it:-
A place secure from every thought of fear * Safety and peace for
ever lord it here: Its beauties seem to beautify its sons * And
as in Heaven its happy folk appear.
